Jeremiah 16:19 (NASB)
19 O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, And my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations (gentiles) will come From the ends of the earth and say, "Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, Futility and things of no profit."
I believe that the question which prompts this teaching is evidence that we are living in the day Jeremiah described. A passage that goes hand in hand with Jeremiah 16:19-21 is Zechariah 8:23. Speaking of another day yet to come when Yahveh will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim, Zechariah prophesies:
23 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."'" (NASB)
I believe that this prophesy is being fulfilled in our time as Messianic Jewish believers help the gentile Church return to its Hebrew roots!
Although Judah has been restored to The Land, the northern kingdom known as Israel or Ephraim has not yet been restored. See Jeremiah 16:14-19 and Ezekiel 37:15-28
Could the Last Supper Have Been the Passover?
